uh oh!
so, after a long day of work at the shop, working with wacky "don juan" donald, i drove over to the walmart, quickly picked up the necessary last minute costume necessities (safety pins, "fashion trend diamond cut stockings"), spent 20+ minutes in the 10 or less line (how does this happen??) and headed over to goucher college, where i got into my pirate (we were told to be pirates) costume for the work party at manager patty's place. on the way in, i watched 3 beautiful deer gracefully cross the road i was driving upon. and, on the way out, as i was hopping back on to the beltway, i ran over one. it appeared that a car had hit it a moment before me, because i saw an SUV pulled over. and, as i checked my rearview mirror, i saw it's poor legs twitch and shake. my only hope is that i had ended any suffering that it was experiencing before i had taken it's life.

poor, sweet, innocent deer. i'm so sorry....

in other news, i learned that my car needs $2000 worth of work to pass inspection. so, you know what that means....NEW USED CAR! oh, boy, when does the fun ever end??? if anyone has suggestions for cars or places to go or knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy, email or tag me. perhaps the car was sending me all the bad luck for the past 5 months or so. thus far, i have:
1) had my car broken into, console busted, cds stolen
2) had my purse stolen, along with a nice stash of money
3) contracted some weird eye thing that sent me to the emergency room
4) had to pay for said emergency room visit because insurance wouldn't pay for it
5) was in a car accident
6) discovered that my car was "totaled"
7) endured flat tire...
8) and a dead battery
9) dealt with, and still dealing with pissing cat

i guess that's not so bad, huh? i mean, i feel like i am missing a few things here and there, but really, that's life, huh? man, i am such a freakin' whiner. blah blah blah. hey, at least i will be getting a new car. that's something positive. and, for that, i am excited!

dear blog,
have you watched the real world philadelphia?? i finally was able to catch an episode or two. never before have i really watched the real world. i remember back in 7th or 8th grade, my friend vicky was really into the real world and we spent a day watching a bunch of episodes together, but that's about it. i liked vicky. she was into classic rock and always smelled like vanilla.

anyway, perhaps the greatest thing about real world philadelphia is checking out the spots they hit and the streets they walk, being a philly girl myself. the best? calling shampoo a gay club. ummm...i think not.

"ugggghhh!!" said virginia a minute ago, as she flipped through the television.
"what's wrong?" i ask.
"nuthin'," she said.
it's amazing how frustrated we can get with television, sometimes.

we also learned today that there were 2 fires at 2 highlandtown high schools today. kind of terrifying, in a way.

ok, y'all. time to go. don't forget, only 11 days til halloween.

feeling ill, but blogging for a moment-

saw pj harvey on wednesday and missed the 3rd and final debates. but, thankfully, bonnie taped it for me. pj was good, real good. but it seemed too short. may have had something to do with the fact that there was another show that night and so she needed to wrap it up. it was a bit disappointing in that respect.

just read virginia's blog. i wish she didn't have such an aversion to house things.

going to call bonnita to see if we can meet up.
